The American Flag
The American Flag
The American Flag, is red, white and blue
To you, I salute, this is what I do.

The American Flag, you stand so free
To you, I salute, with love from me.

The American Flag, nicknamed Old Glory
To you, I salute, a flag with a story.

The American Flag, you changed over the years
To you, I salute, with a song and music to our ears.

The American Flag, we display you with pride
To you, I salute, your true colors we do not hide.

The American Flag, what can I say
To you, I salute, each and everyday.

The American Flag, raised by a rope
To you, I salute, you give us hope.
This poem came to me one day in pieces. Then I finally pasted it together to get this,
God Bless America.

Re: The American Flag

Thanks for reading my poems. This poem isn't about picking a certain flag over another one. Every man or woman has their own flag. They should be proud of the colors thats on their flag. I am proud to be American. Just like many others are proud to be Russian,Chinese,Japanese,Mexican etc.

I didn't forget about the other men in other countries. I can't write poems for all of the other men and their countries. This poem is for us who love the American Flag. I judge no one for admiring their own flag and I should not be judged myself.  I can't change who I am.

David
