We Fool Ourselves

We pretend that love is a movie

That the one that waits is lost

The one that leaves is forgiven

We fool ourselves

To believe the feelings that run deep

Are only illusions mixed with lust

To ignore the love starring at us

We fool ourselves

To hold onto the bad

ANd pray for the good

To walk with a smile

And sleep with a broken heart

We fool ourselves

To give all we have

For just a glimpse of happiness

When our souls graves the everlasting

We fool ourselves

To never love the love

We know
