Doomed Here And Surrounded

Doomed Here And Surrounded

by a stab of filthy gloom

spilled along every surface

in this, my childhood room.

It’s time to move on, again.

farewell to heavy sweats

of sorrow; just never could

air much out through windows.

Insufficient crosswinds

due to massive overflow.

Defiantly they sit

in a push-pull twist

of barely subtle shifts.

Some destined flow continues,

No will at hand this time.

It’s a total free-fall

when I cover both my eyes.

(Those traitorous orbs)

Thoughts settle in rest now,

while a heart stays incognito;

an alias for the crowd

and defender of my soul.
